I am excited to provide online therapy to residents of North Carolina.
Research has shown online therapy to be as effective as in-person therapy. The added convenience of scheduling, flexibility and comfort of receiving treatment in your own home offers a more relaxed session and higher level of comfort which can improve openness and benefit of the treatment.
I utilize a HIPAA compliant platform, Simple Practice, for your sessions. This provides the same importance of confidentiality as if you were in a traditional office based setting. I can provide services to residents throughout North Carolina. I will send you a link via email and we will connect easily to begin our treatment sessions.
Because I am ethically bound by the psychology board to be fully competent in the practice of telebehavioral health, as a Certified Telebehavioral Health provider, you will be ensured that I have obtained the necessary training and experience to offer this service to you. As with traditional office based therapy, the same ethical requirements apply to obtaining your treatment in this manner. Session ARE NOT recorded.
So what do you need to be able to benefit from Telehealth sessions?
A computer, tablet, or phone (no applications or software download needed).
An external or integrated webcam.
An external or integrated microphone.
An internet connection with a bandwidth of at least 10 MBPS. I recommend an Ethernet cable over Wifi when possible to ensure you receive the best possible connection through your internet provider.
